StupidVideos.com announced today the launch of Personal Video Logs, a free video sharing service. The site lets members use their Stupid Video Log to upload and share video, find and communicate with friends, and to discuss their favorite user-generated videos and their creators.
“Comedy is a universal experience that gains power when it is shared, and a Personal Video Log on StupidVideos.com is the best way to connect to a world-wide audience of people who will laugh at you, laugh with you and help you laugh your way through the day,” said Erik Hawkins, CEO of PureVideo, operator of StupidVideos.com.
Once registered, members can upload and share as many videos as they want, or as the site puts it, “there’s no limit to how stupid you can be.”
The following features are available on members’ Stupid Video Logs:
- After uploading, a member’s stupid video is posted to their Stupid Video Log and is automatically formatted for display on almost any computer or mobile device, including Windows and Macintosh computers, the Apple iPod and Sony PSP and Windows Mobile devices;
- A Stupid Profile allows members to share stupid details about themselves, and tracks your Stupid Level as you progress from “Silly” to “Brain Dead”;
- Invite Friends to join your Stupid Video Log to build your own stupid empire;
- Write a Stupid Blog to dish the dirt on your friends and their stupid videos and receive feedback on your stupid videos;
- Track your favorite videos, the videos you’ve rated and reviewed, and your most recently viewed videos;
- Once submitted, your Stupid Video is automatically included in most major video search engines, including Yahoo and Google, and may be featured on a partner site like MSN or Yahoo Japan.
Greg Morrow, President of PureVideo, added: “StupidVideos.com supports the most important, widely-used video formats, so that videos can be viewed on iPods, Sony Playstations, Windows and Mac computers, and more. Users give us their videos and can immediately share them with family and friends all over the world on or offline.”

Great idea. But what constitutes stupid? One man’s stupid is another man’s gold.
